A contemporary circus performance born from a personal need: to understand and explore my identity as a woman and the limits that cross and shape it. I aim to break through the conditioning that defines who I can or should be, generating on stage a process of transformation that acts as a mirror — an invitation for the audience to reflect on their own identity.

On stage, a large latex wall made of tubular elastic bands — arranged horizontally, an unusual axis for aerial acrobatics — opens up new physical and expressive possibilities. This wall separates the inside from the outside; it represents the bond with myself and with my own personal construction: what I’ve learned in this life, what I’ve chosen, and what I carry from family history and the social environment I grew up in, without knowing how it came to belong to me.

Tension and elasticity — qualities of this material, and of my own identity — confront me and invite me to question the ways I was constructed as a woman, and the traits we often share. They push me to move through discomfort and to choose — from the body — a more honest way of expressing myself as the person I want to be.

Stop being afraid! Step out of that place!    Choose who you want to be!
